SU Ag Center’s BOLD Project Set to Begin its 2015-2016 Session


Baton Rouge, La. – The Southern University Ag Center’s Building Opportunities through Leadership Development (BOLD) Project has announced the participants of its 5th class.  

Participants in the 2015-2016 class are:

Jonathan Riddick, East Baton Rouge Parish
Beatrice Cummings, Concordia Parish
Johmy Carter, East Baton Rouge Parish
Decobea Butler, East Baton Rouge Parish
Elijah Banks, Concordia Parish
Althea Thomas, East Baton Rouge Parish
Nicolette Gordon, St. Helena Parish
Krystal Sugulleh, Orleans Parish
Byron Alexander, East Baton Rouge Parish
Emerson Slain, Concordia Parish

BOLD, development by the Southern University Agricultural Research and Extension Center, is an 11 month statewide leadership program designed to provide leadership skills needed to improve rural and under-served communities. It is an evaluative and technical assistance project aimed at developing teams of emerging leaders who work together across racial, class and community boundaries in innovative ways to promote community and economic development.

The project will begin it 2015-2016 session on October 10, 2015 at the SU Ag Center.
