SU Ag Center: Odis Hill among Distinguished Speakers at Tuskegee University Lecture

Mr. Hill addresses professionals and producers at field day event
Baton Rouge, La – Mr. Odis Hill, Extension Assistant Area Agent – Agriculture and Natural Resources in Morehouse and Union Parishes will represent the Southern University Ag Center as speaker in the lecture series honoring George Washington Carver. Hill will join other distinguished speakers at the second installment of the George Washington Carver Lecture Series to be held at Tuskegee University, April 8, 2015. The lecture is themed "Promoting Global Food Security and Sustainability Through Scientific Innovation in Agriculture." 

The event which comes on the heels of the inaugural GWC Lecture series in 2014 to celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of George Washington Carver will be hosted by the Department of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. In continued celebration of Dr. Carver's legacy and the 125th Celebration of 1890 land grant universities, this second installment will focus on global food security and sustainable agriculture.  The lecture series is expected to host over 300 agricultural professionals, students, faculty, community members and other stakeholders.
