Event to teach children about Louisiana’s
agriculture through fun exhibits and activities
Baton Rouge, LA- The Southern University Ag Center has
partnered with the LSU AgCenter to present AgMagic, an interactive event that
teaches children about Louisiana’s agriculture and why it’s important to their
lives.
AgMagic will be held from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., April 25-26 in
the Parker Coliseum – Highland Road near the south gates of LSU- on the LSU
campus. It is free and open to the public.
As part of the partnership, the SU Ag Center will provide a
rabbit display, a nutrition game, and a tobacco cessation exhibit. The Center
also provided SU J.A.G.I.E activity books and tote bags for teacher packets.
During the event, visitors will be able to look inside the
brain, make animal tracks, watch eggs hatch and plants grow, learn where food
comes from, walk through the forest, learn about 4-H, bugs and see alligators.
