for Saturday, April 18 at the Southern University Ag Center will be held at Ashford
O. Williams Hall, Southern University, 181 B.A. Little Drive, Baton Rouge, LA
70813. The forecast for bad weather has made it necessary to move the event
indoors.

This educational event is FREE and open to everyone
who is currently involved with goat and sheep production or those interested in
learning more about raising small ruminants. The Small ruminant workshop is
sponsored by SARE and organized by SU Ag Center and LSU.
Topics
will cover: Herd Health, Marketing, Forage Management, Composting, and much more.
Demonstrations and hands-on sessions include Wet Lab (Fecal Egg Count), Goat
Meat Product Development & Tasting, and Practical Animal Husbandry
Techniques.
Registration will begin at 8:00 am in Ashford O.
Williams Hall at Southern University and the program ends at 2:00 pm.
