Baton Rouge, La. – The Southern University Ag Center’s 2020 Morehouse Black Farmers Field Day has been canceled.
To ensure the health and safety of
the staff and the Morehouse Parish community, the Ag Center canceled the event
after an employee received notification that they had been exposed to COVID-19.
The annual field day has been held
since 2002 and had drawn crowds of more than 200 current and budding farmers.
The Ag Center had planned to hold a virtual field day this year with live and
pre-recorded presentations.
