Baton Rouge, La. - Southern University held its Annual Academic
Honors Day Awards Program on April 19, 2017 in Baton Rouge. Parents, family,
friends, students, faculty and staff were in attendance.
Students who earned a 3.0 GPA or better for the fall and/or spring
2016 semesters were honored. Among this year’s winners was Patrice
Lazard, Agricultural Economics major advised by Dr. Patricia Meyinsse. Ms. Lazard
won the Chancellor’s Scholar Award and the highest GPA honor in the College of
Agricultural, Family and Consumer Sciences.
The Southern University Land-Grant Campus comprises of the
Southern University Agricultural Research and Extension Center and the College
of Agricultural, Family and Consumer Sciences.
