Exploring Opportunities in Agricultural, Family & Consumer Sciences Program to Kick off
BATON ROUGE, LA, 6/2/2011 – Southern University Ag Center professor Andra D. Johnson welcomes students to a summer program focusing on teaching, research and outreach.
The College of Agriculture, Family and Consumer Science Family will host opening ceremony for a summer program at the Southern University Ag Center on Sunday, June 5 at 3:00 pm. The program concludes on June 24.
Students, staff and faculty are invited to attend the opening ceremony to show support and welcome the high school students to the college and Ag Center. There are 31 students attending this year’s summer program; 25 of which are potential incoming freshman.
The program entitled “Exploring Opportunities in Agricultural, Family & Consumer Sciences” is Sponsored by Agricultural Marketing Service; Natural Resource Conservation Service; Grain Inspection, Packers & Stockyards Administration; and National Agricultural Statistical Service.
Andra D. Johnson, Ph.D., Associate Professor Urban Forestry, is coordinating the program.
