Dara Badon heads to National Leadership Forum

BATON ROUGE, LA, 6/23/2011-In honor of her academic achievements and leadership ability, Dara Badon was nominated by her 5th grade teacher, Kizzy Crockett of Lukeville Elementary School, to attend a 2011 People to People World Leadership Forum in Washington, D.C.

U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower with the belief that peace can be achieved through understanding founded People to People International in 1956. The World Leadership forum helps the world’s most promising young people achieve future success through leadership development and engaging academic challenges.

Dara will be traveling with her family for six days, beginning June 27th, to join other outstanding students from around the globe to learn leadership up close and enjoy unique access to America’s most prominent centers of justice, legislation, and history.

Dara is an honor roll scholar and has maintained a 4.0 from the time she started school. She is the daughter of Dwayne and Donna Badon of Brusly, and little sister to Daisha Christine.
