Baton Rouge, La. – The Southern University Ag Center will host the second session of its Facebook Live Series on Emergency Preparedness in the Wake of COVID-19 at 12 p.m. on June 19.

The live stream will focus on the topic of “Emergency Preparedness for Children.”

“Children are especially vulnerable before, during and after emergencies,” said Krystle Allen, SU Ag Center Extension Associate and Facebook Live Series host. “Learning critical skills on how to plan and respond after an emergency, fosters a sense of understanding and equips children to respond quickly and safely during emergency situations,” added Allen.
The broadcast will last between 15-30 minutes, depending on questions.

The Emergency Preparedness Facebook Live Series will be held biweekly on Fridays at 12 p.m. on the Southern University Ag Center’s Facebook page.
