Baton Rouge, La. – As the
Southern University Ag Center prepares for its 78th annual State
Livestock and Poultry Show, the health and safety of our show’s participants is
important.
In an effort to keep exhibitors
informed with up-to-date information about the 2021 show, the SU Ag Center’s
Livestock Show Office has released the following statement:
Due to COVID-19 health concerns, the Southern University Ag Center can
not guarantee that the 2021 Livestock and Poultry Show will occur as
advertised. All livestock show participants and their families should be aware
that the purchase and/or validation of animals for the 2021 livestock show is
at their own risk and financial investment.
“The safety and wellbeing of our
Livestock Show participants and families is a priority for the Southern
University Ag Center,” said Dr. Harold Mellieon, Livestock Show Director. “We
have released this statement to ensure that our participants are aware of our
plans for the upcoming show,” he added.
Updates regarding the Ag Center’s 78th Annual Livestock Show will be available on the Southern University Ag Center’s website.
