SULGC Urban Forestry Professor Zhu Ning recieves $345,000 grant from NASA

Southern University Land-Grant Campus Professor of Urban Forestry, Zhu Ning, has been awarded a $345,000 competitive grant from NASA.

Baton Rouge, La. - Southern University Land-Grant Campus endowed professor of sciences and urban forestry, Zhu Ning, Ph.D., has been awarded a $345,000 competitive grant from the Louisiana - NASA Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR).

The funding will be used to implement the, "Quantifying Carbon Export through Vegetation, Biomass and Land Use Change Analysis of Two Contrasting Sites across the Mississippi River Delta Plain," project. The initiative is a part of a collaboration with Louisiana State University.

The Southern University Ag Center and the College of Agricultural, Family and Consumer Sciences together are called the Southern University Land-Grant Campus.
