- Nutritionally Yours Program at the SU Land-Grant Campus has announced the release
of a free mobile SNAP-Ed App available in Apple and Android stores
for download. Search for “SU Ag snap ed” or “SU Ag Nutrition” in the app store.
You can download, use and share the app with friends and family.
The app links directly to
the Nutritionally Yours website
with tons of information, including how to apply for SNAP.
SNAP is the Supplemental
Nutrition Assistance Program (formerly known as Food Stamps). It is part of the
U.S. domestic hunger safety net and provides economic benefits to eligible,
low-income individuals and families for food
purchases. SNAP -Ed is the nutrition promotion and
obesity-prevention component of SNAP.
The Supplemental Nutrition
Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed) is funded by USDA Food and Nutrition
Service.
