Baton Rouge, La. – The Southern University Ag Center
will host a Hemp Summit on March 18 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., at the Maurice A.
Edmond Livestock Arena Multipurpose Building, 14600 Scenic Hwy, in Baton Rouge,
LA. Registration will begin at 8 a.m.
Topics covered during the summit
will include Hemp as a cash, specialty or alternative crop; information on
state laws and regulations, background checks and the application process; and
USDA opportunities.
The Hemp Summit is a
pre-conference event for the 10th Annual Louisiana Small Farmers Conference.
The conference will be held March 18-20.
