Baton Rouge, La. – Patti Rose, MPH, Ed.D., author, will
serve as guest speaker at the Southern University Land-Grant Campus’s Seminar
series on Thursday, March 16, at
3:00 p.m. in A. O. Williams Hall. The seminar
will focus on solutions to major pressing issues in our communities based on Dr.
Rose’s book “Health
Disparities, Diversity and Inclusion: Context, Controversies & Solutions.” The
book examines the health status gap in the U.S.; diversity and inclusion; mass
incarceration; educational disparities; the school (K-12 children) to prison
pipeline; concerns regarding women, children, rural and urban environments;
food injustice and other current,
critical issues. Copies of the book
will be available for purchase, and the author will be on hand to sign them. Full
