SU Ag Center is taking meat orders for the 2014 Livestock Show sale

Baton Rouge, LA – The Southern University Ag Center is poised to hold its 71^st Annual Livestock Show February 27-March 1, 2014 at the Maurice A. Edmond Livestock Arena in Baker, LA.  For convenience, the show booklet and meat order form are available on the Ag Center website at http://www.suagcenter.com/livestock-programs. Once there, look under “quick links and downloads” for the Meat Order Form which is in printable format. You can download, print, complete and mail it.

On the other hand, if you don’t eat meat, you may make a meat donation to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank. When you make a financial contribution in any dollar amount to the Southern University Ag Center Livestock and Poultry Show, we will purchase prime tender beef or choice, delicious pork, lamb and goat meat that will be processed and donated to the food bank. 

Another option is that you can become a financial contributor to support the youth, if not interested in meat purchase. Proceeds from meat sales and monetary contributions are set aside to assure that these young herdsmen and ranchers are rewarded for their financial investment, hard work and dedication. All meat purchases go directly to the participating youth.
